Yuzo Iwata is a prominent force in the electronic music realm, seamlessly blending his Japanese and Cuban heritage into his craft.
Kicking off his journey in Sapporo, Yuzo has been the mastermind behind the FLOPPY parties at the iconic Precious Hall since 2011. His sound, a vast spectrum of electronic psychedelic music (EPM), knows no genre bounds, captivating audiences with deep, mind-expanding sets.
In 2016, Yuzo made the bold move to Berlin, immersing himself in the city's vibrant scene and becoming a familiar face at top venues like Saule at Berghain, Globus at Tresor, and Club Der Visionaere.
His work at Sound Metaphors, curating a diverse record collection centred on psychedelia, highlights his deep musical knowledge and innovative ethos.

‘Kiteki’ was his debut EP which dropped in 2018 on Pluie/Noir, followed by his acclaimed album ‘Kaizu’ in 2022 on Melbourne’s Butter Sessions.
The latter takes listeners on an imaginary boat journey across global islands, blending exotic and borderless electronic rhythms that have earned rave reviews and lit up dancefloors worldwide.
