Yuu Udagawa’s elegantly ethereal ‘Into Rapture’ features remixes by Francesco Tristano & Atjazz
The jazz-inflected record is bursting with ideas, atmosphere & sophistication
Japanese producer Yuu Udagawa returns with her latest EP, ‘Into Rapture’, out now on Cosmocities Records.
The six-track release delivers a lush blend of ethereal soul, late-night grooves, and jazz-infused house, featuring remixes from InFiné alum and Carl Craig collaborator Francesco Tristano, as well as British jazz-house icon Atjazz.

The EP opens with the title track, ‘In Rapture’, a hedonistically laid-back yet electric cut where bass stabs and synths take centre stage. Its bouncy atmosphere is electric, still exuding energy whilst remaining mellow, riding the fluid waves it offers, cycling through the ups and downs.
Next up, ‘We Become’ brings a punchy Detroit house attitude in itself, before Francesco Tristano’s remix transforms it into an atmospheric, jazz-laden journey. His remix strips the track down to its essentials, moulding it into a hypnotic fusion of minimal piano house with a sophisticated groove.

Udagawa’s original compositions continue to shine throughout the EP, each carrying a distinct personality while staying true to the immersive world she’s crafted.
A standout moment arrives with Atjazz’s remix of ‘Radiance’. The smooth, sultry house original is elevated into a rich, soulful oasis, with haunting atmospherics, rolling arpeggios, and reverb-drenched vocals weaving seamlessly together.
With ‘Into Rapture’, Yuu Udagawa delivers a sonically sophisticated and deeply textured project, cementing her place in the realm of jazz-inflected house music.
