Yung Singh returns to Asia for 7-stop tour in November & December

After a successful debut Asia tour last year supported by Mixmag Asia, Yung Singh is set to return to the region for performances throughout November and December.

Yung Singh’s sets offer an eclectic blend of styles, incorporating UK garage, grime, jungle, drum’n’bass, and Punjabi folk influences alongside elements of trance and hip hop.

His growing influence in the dance music scene is complemented by his commitment to representing South Asian culture, most recently through his documentary The Birth of Punjabi Garage.

Having graced the stages of Europe’s top festivals such as Horst, Sónar, MELT, and Glastonbury, Singh has cemented himself as one of the most exciting names in modern-day dance music.

Earlier this year, he launched Ekta, an event series and label focused on bringing together a broad spectrum of electronic music. The inaugural event series kicked off in March, taking over venues in London, Leeds, Manchester, and Birmingham.

“Ultimately, good music is good music, regardless of where it comes from or what language it’s in. If someone drops a banger, the entire dancefloor erupts as one. That is ultimately what Ekta is about,” he told Mixmag Asia.

Following his debut in South Korea at the Hajodaze YangYang festival in July, Singh’s return to Asia this year promises to continue his trajectory as one of the most innovative and exciting DJs on the global circuit.

The Asia leg of his Global Gabru Tour will come after shows in the UK, India, and USA, with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bali, Hong Kong for Clockenflap, Shenzen, Beijing and Pattaya for Wonderfruit Festival.
