Xin Lie’s debut LP is a surreal soundtrack to modern chaos
Teeming with irregular beats & glitch-heavy grooves, the self-titled 8-tracker is out now via Dance Data

Xin Lie (real name Diannov Pamungkas) has officially dropped his highly anticipated self-titled debut LP on January 27, 2025, via underground NYC label Dance Data.
Hailing from the highlands of Bandung, West Java, Xin Lie masterfully blends his roots in hardcore punk and Sundanese traditions with contemporary experimental club sounds, creating an album that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Xin Lie’s work also draws deeply from the region’s unique cultural crossroads where tradition and modernity converge—a theme unmistakably embedded in the album’s sound. His avant-garde use of field recordings, such as traditional Sundanese drums ("dogdog") and environmental sounds, adds an organic texture to the album’s futuristic industrial beats.

The LP kicks off with ‘DAWUH’, where crackling glitches build into a storm of percussion and industrial flair, setting the tone for an intense journey.
‘NYEUNGEUT LAUT’, nudged in the middle, dives deeper into darker, glitch-heavy territory, its disjointed rhythms and shadowy textures pulling listeners into its percussive vortex.

Closing track ‘PARAT’ offers a hauntingly minimalist outro, its underwater-like synths and eerie sound clips lingering long after the music fades.
Xin Lie’s debut is a sonic dissection of chaos. From off-grid rhythms to intimate soundscapes, the LP deconstructs and reimagines the boundaries of experimental club music, making it a must-listen for anyone eager to explore the edges of IDM, industrial, and beyond.
