Howie Lee creates stunning soundscapes for Escape from the Trilateral Slopes OST
Alongside rapper Xia Zhiyu & composer Ren Dingyi, the Mintone Records release blends hip-hop, Southeast Asian folk & modern mysticism
Howie Lee brings his signature edge to six tracks of the 边水往事 / Escape from the Trilateral Slopes OST, a genre-blending soundtrack for one of China’s top TV dramas of 2024.
Released by Mintone Records, the album fuses hip-hop, Southeast Asian folk, contemporary classical, and electronic music, mirroring the show’s gritty story of ambition and survival.
The OST also features contributions from rapper Xia Zhiyu and composer Ren Dingyi’s lush compositions that set the tone for the drama’s tropical, chaotic world.

Meanwhile, '盘' (Plate) strips down the production to a hypnotic rhythm of mystical guitar strings and steady beats, adding layers of depth to the auditory journey.
