Vinyl Me, Please returns after liquidation offering credit for unfulfilled orders
The vinyl subscription service was accused of “ghosting” customers in May
Denver-based record subscription company Vinyl Me, Please (VMP) has relaunched after entering liquidation earlier this year, reportedly offering credit for unfulfilled orders.
Per Stereogum, VMP customers took to Reddit over the weekend claiming to have received updates from the company following months of silence, with some now receiving missed orders.
In June, the vinyl subscription company announced that it would relaunch after it was acquired by VNYL Inc. Speaking to Variety at the time, new CEO Nick Alt said he saw the opportunity to “fix and clean up the shortcomings that had been pushed onto customers.”

He also revealed that Vinyl Me, Please would return in September, noting: “[We’re] reading the comments – you see that these customers are still so inherently loyal and they want this to work.”
Just weeks before, VMP was accused of going cold on its customers, per The Denver Post, who reported that the pay-monthly subscription company emailed customers to inform them that they had entered liquidation.
Over the last few days, subscribers have shared new updates received from VMP on Reddit. One member shared a letter, which reportedly reads: “As we promised, VMP returns this month. You will receive your first shipment from us over the next week or so.”

“If you were still a member in April, this first box from us – the new owners – hopefully contains the vinyl you never received,” it continues. “April 2025 was the last snapshot of the business we inherited after Offbeat Ventures LLC filed for bankruptcy on April 4.”
Another user claimed that a package “showed up at the door” this week, which included the record that they picked in April, and a note reading: “Members with missing months of service from the old VMP may add an additional free album each month.”
