Vinyl Me, Please accused of going cold on customers as it enters liquidation

Record subscription company Vinyl Me, Please has been accused of going cold on its customers as it enters liquidation, per The Denver Post.

The Denver-based company – which offered a pay-monthly subscription service where members could receive “exclusive records” – reportedly emailed customers to inform them that they entered liquidation last month.

A Reddit user shared what they claimed to be an update from the company earlier this week, reading: “As a customer of Vinyl Me, Please, we wanted to let you know that on April 4, 2025, the Company commenced an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (ABC).”

According to The Denver Post, this essentially means that the company has gone into liquidation, and that a third party, named Vinyl Liquidation LLC, has taken over its assets.

The Denver Post noted that it had spoken to frustrated customers who have been left in the cold over inquiries, orders and refunds, reporting that over 100 customers have so far complained across social media.

One customer, who says they have been a Vinyl Me, Please member since 2014, claimed that they are owed over $1,000 in “unfilled pre-orders and annual membership fees” (via TDP).

In March 2024, it was reported that the company’s CEO, CFO, and CSO were all fired. A lawsuit was then filed, alleging that they had misled the company’s board and funnelled over $200,000 of the company’s money into a new pressing plant.

The Denver Post also reported that Vinyl Me, Please “acknowledged” subsequent shipping delays last year, with customers complaining that they have failed to receive a response to inquiries over refunds and other issues.

Vinyl Me, Please was launched in Denver, Colorado, in 2012. In 2022, it announced plans to build a new pressing plant sprawling across an enormous 14,000 square foot space.

“As VMP approaches a decade of creating transcendent, tangible experiences with music, we are thrilled to announce that we will be opening a new audiophile-grade pressing plant in Denver,” the company announced at the time.
