Watch thousands of metalheads sing-a-long to Vengaboys at Download Festival

Thousand's of metalheads jumped on the "Vengabus" at Download Festival last week, as Dutch Eurodance legends Vengaboys drew in a massive crowd for their set at the annual metal and rock-focused festival.

The quartet performed at the Donington Park-based festival on Thursday (June 10), with footage posted by attendees across social media showing a huge turnout to their set at the Download Village Area.

One clip posted on TikTok by user meganb1812 showed huge queues outside the tent stage to catch the Vengaboys perform classics such as 'Up & Down', 'Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!!', 'We're Going to Ibiza!' and 'We Like To Party!'.

One Twitter user posted a series of clips of Download attendees who weren't able to get inside the tent, but still managed to catch a sing-a-long on the outskirts, with the caption: "And people complained about them being at Download..."

Onlookers on social media were delighted at the unlikely popularity of the Vengaboys at Download, such as Twitter user 365brainrot, who wrote: "Vengaboys at Download makes so much sense because no one loves pop music as much as moshers."

In an interview with NME, Download's organiser Andy Copping had teased at "evolving" the festival in 2025 to cater to the tastes of younger audiences.

"We have to see what’s going on across social media and analyse the way people are consuming music in the TikTok age," he said. “All of that is super important. Luckily, we’ve put together a very wide and varied young team who are giving input into what they feel the festival should be."
