ULTRA wraps up a record-breaking year in Asia after hosting 350,000 people at 8 events

ULTRA Music Festival ambitiously entered Asia in recent years, cranking out a whopping eight-city tour of the region in 2016 with 6 of them happening within a 10-day period.

More than 350,000 festivalgoers attended events in Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Bali, Hong Kong, The Philippines and Japan, with 120,000 descending upon Tokyo's Odaiba ULTRA Park alone over the course 3 days. That's not too far off from Ultra's flagship event in Miami that sees 165,000 (55k per day) also over 3 days.

The debut edition of Singapore's full blown two-day ULTRA event at Bayfront's ULTRA Park saw 45,000 revelers. ULTRA Japan and ULTRA Beach Bali were also official ULTRA events and came armed with ULTRA’s triumvirate of Main Stage, Live Stage and RESISTANCE.

Road to ULTRA Taiwan saw a whopping 17,000 dance music enthusiasts flock to the Da Jia Riverside Park in the capital city of Taipei.

Road to ULTRA Hong Kong, Road to ULTRA Philippines and ULTRA Japan all happened concurrently on the weekend of Saturday September 17th, that latter event selling out.

Over 750,000 watched ULTRA live on the official YouTube Livestream and a further 1,000,000 plugged into the exclusive Asia stream hosted on the V Live and LINE platforms.

On reaching these milestones in the region, co-founder, CEO, president, chairman and executive producer of ULTRA Worldwide Russell Faibisch said: "I’m overwhelmed at what we’ve been able to achieve across Asia this year. Producing large-scale events of the highest quality in eight countries, all in the span of a total of three weeks, is an incredible achievement and one that our entire team should be very proud of. There is an immense satisfaction in witnessing hundreds of thousands of fans on the other side of the world immersing themselves and enjoying what we do, all being a part of our Ultra Worldwide family. I have to commend our fantastic team in Asia, without whom none of this would be possible.”

Congratulations and see you next year ULTRA.
