Singapore welcomes UK hardcore & jungle maestro, Tim Reaper

Having been featured on Mixmag’s The Lab LDN, Boiler Room Festival London, Bass Coast Festival Canada and Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Tim Reaper is now set to bring over his lively set of jungle music to Asia.

As part of his first-ever Asia Tour, the London-based DJ plans to take over Singapore’s iKi aka Ikigai Izakaya @ The Riverwalk on February 25, 2023, with the event running from 10:30 pm til 4 am. The Lion City becomes his final stop after performing in Osaka, Tokyo and Seoul.

On support duty for the event will be Revision Music/Sub City DJs JAC, Gahmen and Helios XL aka Nez Senja.

Known for his elevated sounds of jungle, Reaper established his own label, Future Retro London, as a home to the many permutations in rave music along the UK hardcore music continuum. Launched in 2020, Future Retro is dedicated to music from artists in the modern jungle scene and has featured names such as Coco Bryce, Dwarde, Sully, Sheba Q, Kid Lib and DJ Sofa in its roster.

Future Retro London continues to release its ‘Meeting Of The Minds’ four-track compilation series (now in its 10th volume), providing artists a place to pit their skills and sonic mastery against and alongside each other on collaborative tracks. This all came into fruition based on the label’s ethos — “The Jungle Testing Grounds”. Kid Drama, Quartz and Gremlinz have contributed their craft to the series, bringing the sound of UK hardcore, jungle and drum’n’bass music back full circle.

With bass-heavy music making even bigger waves in the underground scene, expect Tim Reaper’s set to cater to the needs of many, filled with big basslines, rolling breakbeats and the euphoric, elevated sounds of jungle.

Never one to stay static when it comes to music, Reaper has also showcased his versatility in genres with a remix of Workforce, formerly of SpectraSoul, on Must Make Music and an exclusive EP on leftfield techno label Lobster Theremin.
