Take Note’s ‘Go For It’ unleashes a fusion of 80s workout vibes & tech house beats
The infectious track was inspired by a lively synth lead…and “seeing lots of videos of Tony Britts”.
Marking their first venture of 2024, Taipei-based duo Take Note released their track ‘Go For It’ today, February 16, via their own imprint, 96 Decrees.
Since last year’s debut record ‘The Lord's House’, the two have been continuously solidifying their presence with club-focused hits on esteemed labels such as Rollerblaster Records, Top Shelf Disco, Gold Digger Records, and Slack Manoeuvres.
Today’s drop aims to follow the success of their previous release, ‘The Soul’, which gained support from renowned DJs like Eats Everything, Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, Sidepiece, AC Slater, and Martin Ikin thanks to its high-energy, infectious tech house appeal.
Picture this: vintage 1980s workout vocals blended with pulsating electro and tech house beats. The result? An explosive dancefloor anthem that's impossible to resist moving to. It even kicks off with the soft whirring sound of a VHS tape rewinding for added nostalgia.

“The idea kind of came when we started writing the synth lead/bassline. It seemed kind of fun and energetic at the same time,” they mention to Mixmag Asia, also adding how they’d been “seeing lots of videos of Tony Britts for some reason. Seemed perfect.”
