Taiwan teases its first-ever homegrown multi-day & stage EDM festival

Looptopia will descend upon the island of Taiwan in April of 2017 and host over 50 DJs from all over the world for the island’s first multi-day and stage electronic dance music festival.

Looptopia will be held at a site that has never before been used before and promises a refreshing island breeze and lush grasslands. The site will also feature interactive art installations, camping, BBQ facilities, cabins, showers and will be complete with amenities.

"It is a new utopia for festival lovers," say the organizers. "With surprises in every corner of the venue, it is an outdoor playground embodying all the beauty and enchantment that is Formosa."

The festival will be executed by theLOOP, the same team behind the fabled Luxy, Omni and KOR as well as over 40 epic large scale events like Halloween Massive and the annual 2F White Party. All in all the brand has hosted over 400 DJs over the last decade often in partnership with international brands like Sensation, Godskitchen and Armin Only. They've been working hard to shape Taiwan into an EDM paradise and Looptopia is the next chapter in the brand's legacy.

In recent years, international festival brands like Ultra and Arcadia have entered the Taiwanese market but theLOOP are more interested in developing a homegrown brand of their own like Zoukout did in Singapore and Djakarta Warehouse Project in Indonesia.

Taiwan has long been known as one of the safest, friendliest, cheapest, most beautiful and liberal countries in Asia, it’s about time that the island plays host to a music festival to call its own.
