Swizz Beatz’s furniture collection includes DJ console honouring his father
“Furniture’s always been a language of family,” the producer says of his 100-plus-piece CB2 line, which draws on his La Jolla residence
Grammy-winning producer Kasseem Dean, known as Swizz Beatz, has teamed up with CB2 to release Casa Dean; a collection of more than 100 pieces of furniture and decor.
He developed it with Evan Jerry of Studio ANANSI, a member of CB2’s Designer Collective. Having produced records for Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Drake, he says music and design use the same creative muscles.
CB2 says the line draws on his La Jolla residence, Brutalist architecture, Brazilian modernism and his early years as a DJ in the South Bronx.
A standout piece would be the Lam-Louie DJ console, which sells for just under USD5,000. It combines tamboured burl wood, deep green leather and a tubular stainless-steel frame, with hidden turntable storage on locking casters.
Dean told Wallpaper that the name honours his father, a DJ who worked alongside Cool Herc.
The rest of the line uses earth tones, curved edges and tactile materials.
The Baza sectional comes in ivory velvet, and the Kindred sectional in olive green. There's also an egg-shaped Baza swivel chair upholstered in taupe shearling.

An oxblood enamel hexagonal coffee table sits alongside wool rugs, smoked glassware and collaborative artwork made alongside Megan Gabrielle. An avid collector, his private art collection was previously shown at the Brooklyn Museum in 2024.
British racing green, Dean’s favourite colour, runs through the line. “I feel it represents timelessness, elegance, and class,” he told Architectural Digest.

Dean ties the project to his upbringing. “Furniture’s always been a language of family,” he said. He also explains: “My goal for the collection was to bring families together, which is why I named it after my family.”
Dean sees his worlds as closely connected. On CB2’s collection page, he says: “Art, furniture, design and music, they’re all brothers and sisters.”
