NTS host & Osàre! Editions founder Elena Colombi makes Singapore debut

Singapore's boundary-pushing music collective, Strange Weather, continues their informal, informative and unconventional approach to musical gatherings with the announcement of Elena Colombi from the UK, and homegrown electronic outfit Antarmuka, for their next event

Elena Colombi, known for her future-facing and genre-defying sets, will take attendees on a cerebral journey with her cosmic psychedelia, pulsating polyrhythms, and obscure post-punk selections. Colombi’s label, Osàre! Editions have helped to set her apart as a sonic selector and visionary and made her an artist in demand for obscure and spellbinding sets. A highly revered NTS Radio resident whilst making memorable appearances at Dekmantel, Nuit Sonores, and Unsound, Elena Colombi takes her audiences on an otherworldly odyssey and continually resets the terrain for a new musical landscape.

Listen to her set for Carhartt WIP Radio from earlier this year below.

Singapore-based Antarmuka is the brainchild of electronic musician and percussionist Syafiq Halid and gamelan musician and composer Rosemainy Buang. Formed from a ten-plus year friendship, the electronica and experimental duo have garnered attention by blending analog and digital instruments around sonic exploration of the Nusantara region.

Strange Weather resident DJs will also be on warm-up duties; Aalely, Kindergarchy, Yadin Moha, and Yet Pet will be delivering cutting-edge as expected.

To complement the auditory adventure, Strange Weather's cosmic gathering will also feature an immersive art installation created by the collective's talented artists Genevive Yip, A'alely, and Sharon Shum, titled "Soft Rebellion”. Kombucha offerings will be provided by “local herb doctor” Boujee Botanicals, and healing massages will be available through “local masseuse aunties”.

Stranger Weather with Elena Colombi (Osàre! Editions) and Antarmuka (LIVE) takes place on Saturday, 26 August, at TWorks in Singapore. Tickets and more information are available here.
