Snapped: The last dance ever at Zouk Singapore on Jiak Kim
An emotional crowd bid adieu to Zouk on Jiak Kim Street this past weekend
After a quarter of a century run and a memorable #irememberjiakkim campaign that flooded the Internet with 25 years of memories in the week leading up to the last hoorah, the iconic Zouk Singapore bid adieu to its home on Jiak Kim Street this past weekend.
Club goers began gathering as early at 7pm on Saturday even though the club didn’t officially open until 11pm and danced until the lights came on well past 7am. The club closed it out for the very last time with The Beatles ‘Let It Be’ which proved emotional, celebratory and life changing for the tearful crowd that remained. See all the photos from the farewell above.
Stay tuned for details surround the soft opening of Zouk at its new Clarke Quay location on December 17th.
