Shubostar & Captain Mustache dive deep with ‘Echoes of Dolphins’
Out now on DGTL Records, the collaborative track fuses driving basslines, dreamy synths, and interstellar vocals into a hypnotic listen
When Parisian groove craftsman Captain Mustache teams up with South Korean cosmic disco visionary Shubostar, the result is as otherworldly as it is emotionally charged.
Out now on DGTL Records, ‘Echoes of Dolphins’ is a hypnotic two-track collaboration built for deep-night sessions, neon cityscapes, and far-off mental voyages.
The title track locks you in from the first bar. A tight bassline drives forward, while playful, cosmic synths (Shubostar’s trademark, of course) loop and build. Layers of melody pull you deeper, topped with her soft, lingering Korean vocals. The result is both space-bound and ocean-deep.

“When this melody came to my mind, I knew a cosmic vocal would take it to another dimension. It was obvious to ask Shubostar… She beautifully surprised me with these Korean lyrics that fit perfectly with the deep atmosphere of the track,” says Captain Mustache.

Shubostar adds: “I had a childhood dream where a dolphin splashed vividly. When I heard this track, that dream suddenly came alive, and the melody quickly followed.”
Both artists’ fingerprints are unmistakable; Captain Mustache’s sleek production pedigree (Kompakt, Bedrock Records, Return To Disorder) meets Shubostar’s dreamy, interstellar sensibilities.
