Seth Troxler launches Slacker 85 label
The imprint is striving to go a step further than music releases, fusing music, art and apparel
Seth Troxler has launched his new label, Slacker 85.
Intended to "welcome slackers worldwide", Troxler's imprint is set to encompass not only music, but fusions of art and apparel.
Its debut release is the long-awaited track from the DJ and producer 'Pills', a low-slung acid groover.

“Welcome, the playground is open. This is my latest fantasy - and my new label," he says. "My swan song, my legacy act. I've never had a label just for me. All my ideas; no filter. No compromise. I'm sick of cool, of posture.
"I wanted to make something that represented me, you and everyone I know. The anti-hero, the kids who could have done it but didn't care to try. The slacker. And believe me, it’s going to get weird. A channel into my strange, dark and bizarre mind. Join me.”
Not halting at the label launch and release of 'Pills', an extensive schedule of singles, EPs and albums are already in the pipeline. Names involved include Jackmaster, Ghoulish and Cesar Merveille.
