Sepehr curates dazzling Iranian VA comp in the name of charity

NYC-based label Shaytoon Records have curated an exquisite compilation of tunes created by Iranian artists.

Headed by Sepehr, the imprint plan to donate a portion of the revenue raised to Wellness Worldwide – a volunteer-based NGO providing healthcare and social support to vulnerable people living in Afghanistan.

'Sounds From The Iranian Ultraverse' casts the net far and wide, calling upon Iranian artists based across the planet to contribute diverse sounds to the multi-layered collection. Notable names features include Love On The Rocks label head, Paramida, futurist techno purveyor, Voiski, and Shaytoon main man, Sepehr. Taking in pitstops in the realms of champagne house, experimental hip hop, abstract electronica, vintage rave and Detroit-inspired techno, the lavish compilation is a proud testament to the impact Iranian artists are making in the contemporary dance landscape. According to the label, “the ultraverse is the dimension that you can access when you really want to. A shared universe that provides a cornucopia of delights.”

Shaytoon's sincere gesture of solidarity to those suffering in Afghanistan is both a noble project and an impactful statement piece, with the supreme quality of the music supplied magnificently shining a torch on this most worthy of causes.
