Seoul DJ Seuongbuk Skyway debuts on Berlin label Yegorka
The first EP of 2020 from the label co-founded by DJ and producer Why Be
Berlin-based record label Yegorka is bringing some new experimental Asian flavour to the mix with Korean DJ Seuongbuk Skyway's debut EP 'Stay on Your Path'.
Sueongbuk Skyway's three-track EP 'brings 'an airy, discreetly paced record rich in nested narrative'. His fluid beats and shimmering phrases create a subtle and dreamy experimental ambiance – falling somewhere between ambient, chillout and dub. As a debut release, Sueongbuk Skyway AKA Ted Shin is undoubtedly a rising, if unusual Asian DJ to keep an eye on. Listen to the EP below:
Debuting in 2018, Danish DJ and producer Why Be joined forces with Berlin record Label Janus to create Yegorka, and since then they’ve become known for releasing diverse dance music from lo-fi noise to Eastern-flavored ambiance – pushing the boundaries of dance music in an experimental and playful way.
