Rat City’s hit ‘Kind of Love’ remixed by Japan’s iamSHUM
Song is lead track of new Billboard Electric Asia 3 dance comp
Norwegian dance duo Rat City recently had a big hit with their high pop/dance single ‘kind of Love’ Feat. Isak Heim. A brand new remix just dropped by Japanese DJ and producer iamSHUM as part of the Billboard Presents: Electric Asia Vol 2 compilation, and it Slams.
If ‘Kind of Love’ was a straight Pop song it would stand up on its own merits. The chorus comes out of a great post-New Wave jaded songwriting tradition, but with an Electronic music bed, lots of bass and fine vocals by Isak Heim. Already double platinum in its native Norway, this massive single now gets a kick up the arse by Japan’s iamSHUM and his sublimely bouncy, bass-heavy remix. By adding a simple and catchy melody line, and fortifying the subs, SHUM has really transformed this one into a dancefloor monster. This one leads off the international edition of b2 Music’s latest Billboard compilation, and is destined to be a dance floor killer.
