Raja Rani & Linying create sustainable fashion capsule inspired by ‘Swim, Swim’ album
The collection features three elegant pieces made from upcycled modal silk sarees, inspired by music & movement
Artisan label and electronic music duo Raja Rani and Singapore-born, Los Angeles-based artist Linying have teamed up with blackstar to launch The Breeze: Swim, Swim Capsule Collection.
At its heart, the collection is a dialogue between two forms of storytelling.
Raja Rani have built a brand rooted in reimagining tradition through sustainable fashion, earning recognition from the Honeycombers Sustainability Awards and the Singapore Fashion Council’s IMPACT Award.
Linying, one of Spotify Asia’s 25 Most Influential Artists, mirrors this ethos in her music, exploring transformation and emotion in her album ‘Swim, Swim’.

“The collaboration feels particularly serendipitous because ‘Swim, Swim’ is an album about flow and surrender, but also about reconciling one’s past with one’s present. The story of Naveen’s family’s traditional saree-making heritage really touched me, and I admire Raja Rani’s loving and meticulous approach, imbuing new meaning, giving new life to a craft that transcends time, mediums and cultures,” mentions Linying.
It’s a collection where music meets slow fashion; crafted from upcycled modal silk sarees, it reimagines heritage fabrics with a fresh, modern sensibility rooted in movement and ease.

The pieces include the Breeze: Swim, Swim Kimono, a lightweight open-front layer with relaxed sleeves and a tie waist that shifts easily from beach mornings to evening wear; the Breeze: Swim, Swim Palazzo Pants, high-waisted and fluid with a wide-leg cut for all-day versatility; and the Breeze: Swim, Swim Cami, a cropped bandeau with a smocked back that can be worn alone or layered for a coordinated look.
“Raja Rani has always been about celebrating heritage with freedom, reimagining what tradition can look like today. Collaborating with Linying allowed us to extend that spirit into a new creative language, one that flows between fashion and music, between the past and the present. The Breeze: Swim, Swim Capsule Collection is our love letter to individuality, emotion, and the art of reinvention,” say Raja Rani founders Beatrice and Naveen.
