Omni nightclub rises from the ashes left behind by Luxy
The grand opening is slated for this weekend in Taipei
Following an impressive soft opening on Wednesday night, the club announced its grand opening this upcoming weekend.
Besides an entirely new branding scheme, the interior has undergone a complete overhaul. There is no memory of Luxy once you step inside Omni.
At present, the club’s previous three rooms have become one room with different areas. The second floor, where Loft used to be, has become the second floor of Omni. Pulse, previously known as Onyx, is entirely out of the picture.
The club boasts a flashy new Void sound system, which is arguably better than the trending Funktion-One system at the moment, and reports on social media after the soft opening suggested people left with their ears ringing, in the best way possible of course.
In addition, the visual and lighting system looks fully immersive and incredible, with the video synching to the music and performances.
Word on the street is it’s thoroughly impressive. Hopefully, it can withstand the mounting pressure from police in the city and the fierce competition coming from the Xinyi district and outlive Luxy’s more than twelve year run. But it seems they’re off to a good start.
