Nodes Rec. to launch 22SYSTM Studio inside Soho House Hong Kong
Aiming to boost creativity and grow the scene, the studio launches with 'Handle With Care'—a collaborative album mixing Eastern and Western sounds.

Hong Kong’s electronic music scene gets ready to welcome 22SYSTM Studio—a professional recording space launched by local label Nodes Rec. in collaboration with Soho House and hi-fi experts KEF.
Located inside Soho House Hong Kong itself, 22SYSTM Studio is outfitted with top-tier gear and acoustics tailored for producers and engineers.
“The creation of 22SYSTM Studio was inspired by a shared vision to foster creativity and support the growth of the music scene,” says Leon from Nodes Rec. “We found a natural alignment with Soho House, as both entities prioritise nurturing creators and creativity. KEF joined forces with us due to their inherent commitment to fostering creativity, which aligns with our goals.”
The space benefits from collaborations with local partners Acoustic Metamaterials Group Limited (AMG) and Casual Engineering Research—AMG developed acoustic panels from recycled plastic, while Casual Engineering Research contributed bespoke speaker systems and tailored acoustic solutions.
“22SYSTM serves as a hub for exchange and creativity, providing a platform for artists to flourish,” Leon adds.

Leon also adds: “Our album is deeply inspired by Hong Kong’s history of import and export, a metaphor that reflects the city’s role as a cultural crossroads. This theme influences both the sound design and narrative structure of our tracks by blending Western influences with Asian roots.”
To mark the release, Nodes Rec. will host a launch event at Cassio on April 11, featuring performances from the album’s contributors, highlighting the label’s vision of connecting cultures through sound.
“This album is our interpretation of how the essence of Asia can be translated into music. We hope listeners, especially those unfamiliar with Hong Kong, will experience new textures, sounds, and instruments,” Leon adds.
