Footage from Avicii’s last ever performance has surfaced

Footage has been discovered from Avicii’s last performance before his death.

The video shows the late producer on stage at Ibiza’s Ushuaïa on August 28, 2016, playing his track ‘Addicted To You’ from his 2013 album ‘True’. Around this show, Avicii announced his retirement from touring and live shows.

Before then Avicii had played around 220 DJ sets across the globe between January 1, 2011 and January 1, 2016. Shared on the official Avicii YouTube channel, the video is captioned: “In loving memory of Tim ‘Avicii’ Bergling (1989-2018)”.

Comments on the video name Avicii a “genius” and “legend”. Last year, another clip from this same show was shared on the YouTube page of Bergling performing 'Levels'.

The late Swedish producer and DJ took his own life on April 2018, aged 28 while on holiday in Oman. Avicii had openly discussed how touring had severely impacted his mental health before his death.

Last year in Stockholm, an exhibition called the Avicii Experience opened which hosts an immersive experience of Avicii's life, from his early production beginnings all the way to international fame and a world-renowned array of records.

A portion of ticket sales from the exhibition go towards The Tim Bergling Foundation which was created by the family of Avicii - real name Tim Bergling - "honour his memory and continue to act in his spirit".
