Myanmar’s hypnotize. Radio Session hits milestone 50th episode
Recorded live on a moving truck through Yangon, the video showcases a deep set by local talent emjoy
Myanmar-based underground electronic music platform, hypnotize., has just released its 50th radio episode on YouTube on November 11.
Founded in Yangon, the platform has been instrumental in growing Myanmar’s electronic scene, establishing itself as a community-driven platform showcasing deep and techno music with a unique experience.
To mark its 50th episode, hypnotize. released a special deep set by emjoy, recorded live on a truck weaving through the streets of Yangon in the early morning. Watch below.

Since its inception, hypnotize. has cultivated a community-driven ethos, hosting events that capture Myanmar’s unique landscapes—whether it’s a sunset set by the Yangon River or a mountainside anniversary celebration in Taunggyi.
However, due to escalating political challenges, the hypnotize. team faced significant setbacks.
“Our last event was in our hometown, Yangon, this past March. Since then, we haven’t been able to host any more events here as the political situation continues to worsen, causing many young people to flee the country. This has greatly impacted our community, forcing us to part ways with numerous artists, DJs, photographers, videographers, editors, and crew members who helped us build this community,” they share with Mixmag Asia.

Despite these obstacles, hypnotize. continued to persevere; “Although we couldn’t host events, we decided to engage with the local community through weekly activities. That’s when we launched our weekly radio sessions.”
The platform has also recently published a short documentary on their three-year journey, showcasing their past events and interviews with friends and collaborators.
