Migrant dives into darker territories on new breakbeat single ‘Suppressed’

Indian producer and DJ Migrant is back and pushing his sound into darker, harder territory with his new single ‘Suppressed’.

The track is a no-holds-barred breakbeat and bass-heavy cut that hits like a gut punch and pulses with underground energy.

Carved out with jagged percussion, warped low-end grooves, and an old-school hip-hop vocal sample any UK club head would recognise (“Check, check, check!“), ‘Suppressed’ fuses nostalgia for rave history with forward-leaning production. It’s built for sweat-soaked rooms and big festival rigs alike.

Speaking on the release, Migrant says, “This track came from a place of tension. I wanted to capture that feeling of something powerful trying to break through—emotion, memory, energy—all the things we keep buried. ‘Suppressed’ is about release. It’s about letting go.”

He adds, “I’ve always loved tracks that feel alive. On ‘Suppressed’, I wanted the drums to breathe, to stumble, to hit off-beat — to feel human. It’s rough around the edges in all the right ways.”
