METZDUB channels Yogyakarta’s spirit in soulful single ‘PRACHODAYAT’

Indonesian electronic music producer METZDUB, known for his innovative work with Dubyouth Soundsystem, unveils a deeply introspective chapter with his latest solo single, ‘PRACHODAYAT’.

The track features the ethereal vocals of Elda Suryani from Stars and Rabbit and is released via Jakarta-based Mojo Radio—where he’s the first-ever signing.

Rooted in themes of self-discovery and spiritual awakening, ‘PRACHODAYAT’ draws inspiration from the ancient Gayatri mantra, which METZDUB describes as a "universal prayer that fosters spiritual growth and enlightenment."

The mantra, chanted by Elda and later by children of METZDUB’s friends, infuses the track with depth, weaving a sonic journey that captures the highs and lows of life. “It’s about finding light in the darkness and appreciating the good things, even when things are tough. This message really connected with where I am in my life right now,” he adds.

"Yogyakarta is where I found myself," says METZDUB. "This is where I connected with other musicians and artists, and where I truly began to explore my own creativity. The city has had a profound impact on me, and I wanted to capture that in this song."
