Meltmode pushes Thai house forward with latest EP ‘Echoes of Time’
An expertly crafted blend of vintage samples, hypnotic rhythms & modern production, out via M.A.D Records
Thailand mainstay Meltmode drops latest EP, ‘Echoes of Time’, via London-based label M.A.D Records.
Meltmode first connected with Make A Dance in Bangkok during a collaborative Pissawong Records event (the label he co-founded) and the collaboration has now only grown.
In true Meltmode fashion, ‘Echoes of Time’ fuses traditional Thai elements with contemporary house. Both forward-thinking and deeply respectful of the past, it’s a sound that cements his place at the forefront of the new wave of Thai House.

The five-tracker is Meltmode in peak form. Infectious grooves at every turn, off-kilter ear-catching details scattered throughout, and vintage Thai samples and instrumentation front and centre.

The traditional influence argueably shines brightest on ‘Pong Prai’, which opens with a stunningly atmospheric three-minute Thai intro before morphing into a 10-minute groove-driven odyssey.
Across the EP, nostalgia runs deep. Grooves and textures from yesteryear, woven seamlessly with Meltmode’s modern production sensibilities. Releases like this set the bar for the ever-growing Thai House movement.
