Lush’s Bath Bot creates a “super-powered sensory bathing experience”
The digital bath bomb is 100% vegan, waterproof & ethically recyclable
Continue the rave in your bathtub with Lush’s Bath Bot; the first digital bath bomb that can emit different colours, light up, produce customisable sounds and bubble up.
Keeping it aligned with the Lush Cosmetics ethos, the company takes its first leap into the tech world with this sustainable device that is 100% vegan and waterproof.
Jack Constantine, Lush’s Chief Digital Officer, says the glueless design and sustainability of Bath Bot means “the product is an industry first, there’s nothing else quite like it.”
This “super-powered sensory bathing experience” has been in the making for five years and unlike its predecessor, it won’t ever dissolve. Similar to a regular bath bomb, it sits floating on the top of a bath and if you don’t have one, you could opt to drop it into a filled sink to have a similar experiential moment — meaning everyone can experience this aquatic lightscape.
The dome-shaped device can connect to the Lush app where users can use Bluetooth to play the music or podcast of choice from a 180-degree convex speaker.
It also has different select modes that set a tone for specific moods — for example, if you’re looking to wind down from a hard day at work, Sleepy Mode activates lavender hues and relaxing and calming sounds turning your bathroom into a relaxing oasis. Fun Mode turns up the beats with an iced-out pink tone and an aquatic water dance of bubbles, and lastly, Rave Mode blasts a laser-green explosion with pulsating beats to keep the party going.

The Bath Bot is available in two colours and its eco-friendly design ensures that the device can be “ethically upcycled as needed”. The device is still in its pre-order stages, however it will be out next year.

“At Lush, we believe in making immersive, handmade products and that same ethos is carried into our first tech product, Bath Bot. With Bath Bot and the Lushapp, our goal is to use tech for good – for unique and sensory-transformational experiences. Unlike other artificial bots that manipulate or frustrate you, Lush Bath Bot is likeable and honest,” Jack adds.
