lovesauce launches in Thailand with kimonos inspired by your favourite techno tracks

The ultimate festival conundrum — what to wear. Not anymore!

Festivals are a time and place to be unapologetic when it comes to how you express yourself, and statement-making kimonos are having a moment for their versatility in accentuating any outfit — and lovesauce is tapping in on that.

lovesauce has been many months in the making. We first teased the kimonos back in May after we caught glimpses of DJs, promoters and partygoers around Asia sporting kimonos that looked like they were lifted off the walls of a contemporary art gallery. Today, the brand finally launches with a selection of seven kimonos that are inspired by the music the founders love.

The brand is brought about by three friends in Phuket who share their love for fashion, music and festivals. Based on the music they love to hear, they’ve connected the design of each kimono with a label and its artist. The initial collaborations include one with master duo Audiofly and their Supernature label, Fake Mood and his Parallel Lives imprint and the Moroko Loko label by Amine K.

Each kimono is constructed of an easy-breezy silk that is breathable, soft and lightweight. The quality of the fabric was paramount to the designers, as they wanted something that will look as fresh at 6am when the sun rises at a festival as it did when you first walked through the gates.

The kimonos and shirts are unisex, and we expect to see them on festivals floors…soon.
