Back to bridge the gap between Hong Kong and the UK, we have producer Lovely and legendary Dread MC in their latest sizzler ‘Get Down’ which is set for a December 1 drop.
Too Much returns with the label’s highly anticipated second release on this 002 record, featuring Dread MC over a bouncy 4x4 beat complete with tropical marimba stabs, once again courtesy of Lovely. It’s playful but still retains that Bristol underground vibe — it’s a shame this one’s dropping this close to Christmas, as it would’ve made for the perfect summer rave tune.
Mixmag Asia caught up with Lovely about the release, with him saying: “I first performed the track as part of a live show when I performed at Clockenflap. People sent me loads of videos of the crowd going bananas over this track, so it made sense to use it for the label.”

He continues, “I reached out to Dread MC because I'm a big fan of his music and knew he would fit the track. We have mutual friends through the music game, and he's a pro, so it was a real smooth process. I sent the track, he liked it, laid down some lyrics, and it was done. Dread nailed the vibe perfectly and really brought the track to life.”

Although this is the final release for 2023 for Too Much, next year is tipped to be a big one for the label, with a variety of artists ready to release and a Hong Kong compilation EP in the works.
