Legendary Detroit supergroup 3 Chairs – made up of Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Rick Wilhite, and Marcellus Pittman – are set to perform their “last ever” show this month.

The group will perform together for one final time on Sunday, May 25, hosting an all-day party at Newlab Detroit in North Corktown.

Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature imprint shared the news on Instagram on May 15, writing: “Our very last 3 Chairs set together – join us all day on May 25, Detroit.”

In a video posted alongside the announcement, Theo Parrish explains: “It will be the last opportunity to see 3 Chairs perform. I’m looking forward to this.”

3 Chairs first teamed up in 1997 as a trio between Moodymann, Theo Parrish, and Rick Wilhite, before Marcellus Pittman joined in 2003.
