Lauryn Hill, Donna Summer and De La Soul inducted into GRAMMY Hall Of Fame

The GRAMMY's have revealed the 10 recordings which will be inducted into its Hall Of Fame this year, Including music from Lauryn Hill, Donna Summer and De La Soul.

As part of the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame's 50th anniversary, four albums and six singles of cultural and historical significance have been inducted, including landmark disco and hip hop contributions.

Qualifiers include Lauryn Hill's 'Miseducation of Lauryn Hill', '3 Feet High and Rising' by De La Soul and 'I Feel Love' by Donna Summer.

Lauryn Hill took to Instagram to share her thanks, writing "Grateful to see this album continues to receive love and acknowledgement. Thank you Grammy Hall of Fame".

Last year, in celebration of the now 35-year-old '3 Feet High and Rising', De La Soul released a highly anticipated digital back catalogue of tracks spanning 12 years.

Just a month after the release, founding member, David Jolicoeur passed away aged 54.

Cypress Hill’s B-Real shared condolences for the late artist via Twitter: "We lost another legend of hip hop music and culture ... his music will allow him to live in our hearts and minds".

American Jazz, soul and country contributions were also inducted this year, including the 'I Forgot to Be Your Lover' singer, William Bell, Kid Ory & His Creole Jazz Band and Charley Pride.

Hailing from further afield, the Buena Vista Social Club also made the Hall Of Fame this year for their internationally recognised eponymous album, over 25 years after it was first released.

CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason jr shared in a press release "We're proud to unveil the diverse mix of recordings entering the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame in its 50th year".
