kyō Records joins Stripped Music Management and debuts a mix series
One of Asia's beloved underground brand heads west
Stripped Music Management in London have just announced that it was welcoming kyō Records, the label belonging to club brand kyō in Asia, to the family. Together they will begin with releasing a series of high quality mix and unmixed compilation albums and EPs from established artists worldwide and will also be working with Proton Music/Proton Radio on digital distribution to all major stores and streaming services. Label head Norman H has been working closely with Godwin Pereira and Sanjeev Raj from kyō to bring this collaboration to fruition.
kyō, which operates in both Singapore and as of recently also in Kuala Lumpur, has been a long time purveyor of underground music in Asia and a label seems like the natural next step for the team.
With the announcement comes the first such mix delivered by French techno producer OXIA and its a 20-track mastery of house and techno crossovers. 002 is also lined up for release with 003 following soon after that.
