Kuala Lumpur’s WET Deck is where the city comes together and the music leads

Perched above the city on the 12th floor of W Kuala Lumpur, WET Deck has settled into its role as one of the city’s most dependable social meeting points.

By day, it’s a rooftop pool bar with a view. By evening, it becomes a relaxed after-work hangout. Often, it’s both at once. That flexibility is key to its appeal, drawing a steady mix of hotel guests, industry regulars and Kuala Lumpur’s music-savvy crowd.

Visually, the space stays true to W Kuala Lumpur’s design language. Clean, contemporary lines are softened by greenery and local textures, reflecting the hotel’s wider “Jungle City” concept without trying too hard.

Daytime leans casual, with open views of the Petronas Twin Towers setting the scene. As the sun dips and the lights turn on, the bar steps forward and the DJ booth naturally becomes the room’s anchor.

Programming is central to WET Deck’s identity, which is curated by Malaysian producer Victor G. The roster of artists that have graced the space include international and regional selectors such as Sam Divine, Franky Rizardo, Nico Morano, Tim Green, Themba, Joplyn and Pippi Ciez, alongside local mainstays Alam, Roshan plus curated showcases by the Saturday Selects crew.

In short, when it comes to music, WET Deck is well connected.

Regular programmes such as WET Sessions and Jungle City Beats keep the schedule moving, with a focus on approachable electronic sounds, social energy and an easy transition from sundowners to late evenings.

WET Deck also benefits from the wider rhythm of W Kuala Lumpur itself. The hotel’s design-led ethos, the Living Room bar, and dining destinations like Flock and YEN naturally feed into the crowd upstairs. Dinner flows into drinks, and after-work plans turn into late evenings without much planning.

Which is exactly why the space feels primed for its next chapter. With upcoming music programming set to take a sharper focus, it’s doubling down on what it does best: strong selectors, well-made drinks and an inviting atmosphere that lasts all night long.
