Kilo Club in Singapore is closing its doors

Singapore’s beloved underground club Kilo has announced today via Facebook that as of the 2nd of January, they will be ceasing operations as a club at its current location. The lounge and kitchen will remain open.

The reason for the closure is that the Kampong Bugis area has not been approved for nightlife use.

Fortunately Kilo have said that this is not the end of its run. They will be looking for a new location and expect to reopen in the second quarter of 2016.

The last hoorah happens on the 1st of January with Amtrac following their After Dark New Year’s Countdown Party with Prok & Fitch and Oliver Osborne.

Kilo has been open since 2013 and besides being a regular hotspot for the local DJ community, it has also seen artists like Hot Chip, Scarlett Etienne, Citizenn and even The Pharcyde perform in the club.

As sad as it is to say goodbye, we’re stoked for Kilo 2.0.
