Kendall Jenner shares Aphex Twin's 'aisatsana [102]' on Instagram story

Turns out Kendall Jenner is an Aphex Twin fan.

The supermodel and reality tv star shared Richard D. James' 2014 track ‘aisatsana [102]’ on her Instagram story yesterday (October 11).

Screenshotting the green album artwork of ‘Syro’ from her Apple Music account, the Kardashian sister captioned her story “Sunday” sharing it with her 259 million followers.

'aisatsana [102]', the last track from the seminal producer's 2014 album 'Syro', is a mellow 102 BPM piano symphony — with its title thought to be in reference to Aphex's wife Anastasia.

As reported by Fact Magazine, the recording of the track comes from AFX’s 2012 remote orchestra show at the Barbican, where music was produced from a suspended piano that would swing in the air.

On Spotify, the song has reached over 48 million listens and is part of Aphex Twin's last full-length album release, with only a handful of other projects and EPs coming out since.

Friend of Kendall Jenner and musician, Frank Ocean is also a fan of Aphex Twin — having referenced the producer on his track 'Provider': “stiff smile just like I’m Aphex Twin (yeah come to daddy)”.

Aphex has recently teamed up with Dave Griffiths to create a new “sample matching app” which builds from the concept of Shazam.

First conceptualised in the early ‘00s, Richard asked for the help of musician and engineer Dave Griffiths to build Samplebrain which is now a completely free application.

AFX explained the idea in more detail via a blog post on Lanner Chronicle, writing "I had originally contacted the founders of Shazam to discuss further creative uses of their genius idea but they were busy making an automatic DJ program."

"I still think Shazam could be re-purposed for something incredible but in the meantime we have Samplebrain."
