Is Spotify coming to Thailand? This dream job posting screams yes

Mixmag and much of the music industry has a pretty codependent relationship with Spotify so considering our Southeast Asia headquarters is in Bangkok, where Spotify has yet to arrive, we’re probably more excited than you are to see a listing for a music editor for Thailand.

While that doesn’t confirm anything, it’s a pretty good indicator that it could actually be happening. Although, to be fair, it's been a rumor for some time now.

Either way, the job listing is a golden opportunity for those exceptionally versed in Thailand’s musical landscape. Here is the scope:

"We are looking for a world-class Music Editor from Thailand to join our Shows & Editorial team. This position will oversee Thai music for the curation/programming team at the company. You will work with content for Spotify through playlist curation, programming, and written editorial. You will be working from our Singapore office and work closely with the Asian and Global Editorial Team. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music."

The position is based in Singapore but is open to those willing to relocate. Eligible candidates must also be fluent in English and Thai at the editorial level. Find all the details on the job and how to apply here.

This is the ultimate dream job and we hope one of our readers is up for it.

And on that note, brace yourselves for heaps of Mixmag curated playlists coming at you if/when Spotify launches.
