India's Boxout.fm to host a 48-hour fundraiser stream this weekend for COVID-19 relief

Delhi-based community radio boxout.fm has announced that they will organize a non-stop 48-hour fundraising radio stream to help India's ongoing fight against the second wave of the Coronavirus. India has been hard hit in recent weeks resulting in shortages of beds, ventilators and oxygen tanks across the country. There have been more than a quarter of a million deaths related to the virus recorded in the country as of this writing.
Running from May 15-16, the fundraising broadcast will feature an eclectic range of international talent most of which has performed in the nation previously. Talent includes Didi Han, DJ Seinfeld, HAAi, DJ Vadim, Nina Las Vegas, Daedalus, San Holo, Jacques Green and Paul Devro to name a few. Contributions from institutions like Aisha Devi’s imprint Danse Noire, Berlin-based reissue label Habibi Funk and all-female NGO Future Female Sounds are also on the bill.
In coordination with the broadcast, boxout.fm has organized a fundraiser from May 12-19 with the target goal of INR 5 lakhs ($6,810). All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help fight the current Covid-19 pandemic in the country, with funds going to the NGO GiveIndia who are helping victims of Covid-19, healthcare workers and any families caught in the fight of this ongoing health epidemic.
Boxout.fm launched in 2017 and broadcasts 24/7 from Delhi. Through its show, label and events, it looks to give listeners a "peek into India’s rich cultural heritage and its growing, global outlook."
Donations can be made here, and more information regarding the broadcast will be available to stream via Boxout FM's website.
