UK breakthrough star Yung Singh and Japan’s underground powerhouse ryota will be making their highly anticipated return to Singapore and Hong Kong this March for a special twin-city showcase as Yung Singh b2b ryota.
Presented by Collective Minds alongside Thugshop and UMAMI, this showcase marks a significant moment for the region’s dance music scene, bringing together two artists whose genre-fluid sounds and cultural influence continue to shape contemporary club culture.
A leading force within Japan’s underground music movement, ryota is the co-founder of Osaka’s influential FULLHOUSE collective, widely credited for shaping the city’s youth-driven club scene.
Known for his genre-fluid blend of UK garage, bass music and breakbeats, he has gained international attention through standout appearances across major broadcast platforms and cultural collaborations, including NTS Radio, Rinse FM (London) and BBC Radio 6 Music.
Joining him is Yung Singh, a DJ and curator whose rapid rise has been marked by viral club moments, a BBC Radio 1 residency, and DJ Mag’s Breakthrough DJ of the Year recognition.
Fusing UK garage, bass, hip-hop and Punjabi influences, Yung Singh has become one of the defining voices in contemporary club culture, while playing a key role in re-energising British South Asian dance music.
Together, the two promise a high-energy exchange rooted in shared musical language and mutual respect - bridging underground scenes from Japan to the UK and beyond.
