Julia told her followers via her Instagram Story that the album contains an “abundance of emotional honesty from twigs”, reports NME.

“The whole room was pulsing with electricity and raw emotion. I love u twigs, thank u for everything u do for us,” Julia shared.

Joining Julia at the private event was Paper Magazine’s Linux who shared: “Sitting in a foggy LES basement last night on a full moon chainsmoking cigarettes with FKA Twigs as she played me and Julia Fox her new album from start to finish was one of the most fab experiences I’ve had in my life….this new album is so fucking good you guys are not ready”.

The upcoming project will follow up on her 2019 album ‘Magdalene’.

In January this year, twigs revealed the album takes influence from techno, writing on Discord: “I moved to Prague a couple summers ago, fell in love with techno. The album isn’t techno but the spirit is there fr [for real].”

She also revelaed it was made in close collaboration with electronic music producer Koreless, and added: “It’s deep but not sad … I’m not sad anymore.”

This year has seen twigs work with the ambiguous dance duo and last month’s Mixmag cover stars Two Shell with the single ‘Talk To Me’.

On top of this, twigs will be starring in the reboot of the superhero film The Crow which is out this week in cinemas.

In an interview at the film’s premiere, twigs shared that Two Shell’s track ‘home’ was her song of the summer.

She continued to share that the song she would recommend for those who want to “set them up in the right mood” for the film would be ‘Pain’ by Boy Harsher.
