Fauve Radio relaunch with a trans-global mission and striking new look
The much-loved station promises fun-filled projects, parties, and an all-new visual identity
Beloved subterranean radio station Fauve is gearing up for a bold relaunch over the coming months.
The broad-minded station was birthed out of the Hong Kong underground, quickly garnering an international reputation as an online purveyor of irresistibly esoteric sounds. From their iconic home tucked inside the wonderful Mahka store, Fauve provided a hub for the musical outpourings of local talent alongside esteemed international artists. Over the years, the likes of Skatebård, Jayda G, Demuja, Move D, Tornado Wallace, Paramida, Lo Soul and many others graced the decks under the colourful Fauve banner, leading to the platform winning Mixcloud's 2018 Online Radio Listener's Choice Award for the Asia Pacific region among many other accolades.
Following a short hiatus, we're thrilled to report Fauve is on the way back, with a new outlook that's geared up to add all manner of new and exciting elements to its already captivating manifesto. Dispensing with their physical base, the organisation has now grown to include teams based in Japan, France, Romania and Portugal, promising to create a worldwide connection of shows, podcasts, and events. November will see the team kick off the international launch with an extended tour, taking in dates in Paris, Lyon, Tokyo, Bucharest, and Lisbon. On top of this, a duo of podcast series entitled LYNX and Tiger Tapes are set to roar into life – courtesy of Fauve founder Romain FX with help from a long list of far-flung selectors and crews, including More Rice, Cosmic Rhythm, Orpheu The Wizard and more.
With events scheduled to pop up at worldwide locations, we strongly suggest you keep eyes and ears peeled for further updates, and we're convinced you'll join us in enthusiastically welcoming back Fauve Radio in all its feline glory.
