Eric Prydz's shares the making of Holosphere 2.0 in new documentary series
Created in collaboration with Ibiza's new "hyperclub" [UNVRS], the first two episodes are on YouTube with the finale dropping next week
Eric Prydz has released a three-part documentary series that offers an in-depth look at the creation of Holosphere 2.0—his most ambitious and technically complex live show to date.
The first two episodes are now streaming on his official YouTube channel, with the final part set to premiere next Wednesday.
The documentary highlights the technical and artistic collaboration required to bring the immersive structure to life, combining live performance with cinematic CGI, practical effects, and real-time visual manipulation.
Episode 1, released on June 26, kicks off with a cinematic four-and-a-half-minute look at the making of the eight-tonne, eight-metre-tall Sphere—built entirely from scratch using thousands of custom components, transparent LED screens, and a treasure trove of original 3D animation and holographic effects.
The second episode explores how Holosphere 2.0 and its current home [UNVRS], come together as its owner, Yann Pissenem, walks us through converting an empty shell into an ideal venue for Eric Prydz’s new show.

“We’ve waited six years for this,” says Eric Prydz. “Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. The technology needed to catch up with our vision as every single part of Holosphere 2.0 is bespoke and original. This is what we always dreamed of.”

Currently in residence at new Ibiza "hyperclub" [UNVRS], Holosphere 2.0 is presented every Monday night from June 2 until September 1, 2025.
Purpose-built for large-scale, technologically demanding productions, [UNVRS] provides the infrastructure—arena-height ceilings, custom lighting grids, and immersive sound systems—required to host such an advanced show.
