Equation announces full line-up for next "cave rave" in April

Get ready to enter Equation’s 25-metre-high natural limestone venue that is Mỏ Luông Cave as the three-day boutique festival makes its way back to Vietnam.

Taking place on April 7-9, 2023, the fourth edition of Equation is all about celebrating the emergence of the Asian underground dance music scene. It’s an “East-meets-West” party that features key players in the realm of electronic music from Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Japan and beyond.

Able to house up to 1,000 guests, the venue aims to bring together artists, promoters, club owners and, of course, dance music enthusiasts in an idyllic setting just three hours away from the busy streets of Hanoi.

Included in the line-up this year, meticulously curated by the people behind Savage, Cliché Records and Fragrant Harbour are a number of international names that will soundtrack your cave rave experience alongside a number of Hanoi’s finest homegrown talents.

Roman Flügel, Powder and Skatebård have been locked-in for this year’s festivities, promising a broad palette of sounds for those ready to revel in their sonic offerings.

Along with dozens of local stalwarts playing over two days, Savage and The Observatory residents Di Linh and BongBongQuayQuay, respectively, will be flying the flag for Vietnam as they represent the new and diverse sounds of the local scene.

Highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the scene, Equation 2023 will also host takeovers by Peach, Genderfunk and Snug, who are each known for their efforts in growing a safe community for all.

The acts will be spread across two areas at different times of the day. While the sun’s still out, the lush green fields play part of the dancefloor for elated ravers before they’re ushered into the depths of Mỏ Luông Cave as night falls.
