Electronic musician to represent the UK at Eurovision Song Contest 2026

An electronic musician has been selected to represent the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Kent-hailing synth experimenter LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER was announced as the UK’s 2026 entrant on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on February 17, revealing that the track he has created for the contest will be premiered in the coming weeks.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, real name Sam Battle, is known for experimenting with unusual homemade musical instruments that he shows off on his YouTube channel, where he’s amassed over 700,000 subscribers.

His builds include a synth made from a Sega Mega Drive, speakers built with copper pipes, an organ made using Furbies, DIY modular synths, and music made for a Nintendo Game Boy.

“I find it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey,” he told the BBC. “I will be bringing every ounce of my creativity to my performances, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear and see what we’ve created.”

Calling himself a long-running fan of the annual music competition, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER said he loves “the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously.”

“I’ve been working for a long time creating, writing, and producing my own visions from scratch, and documenting my process,” he said. “I hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesised!”
