Echio Academy launches with compilation competition for emerging producers

Echio, the artist-led streaming platform established in 2022, will be launching its Echio Academy soon.

Along with the launch, the platform is calling on budding producers to submit their demos for a chance to be featured in a compilation.

For one month from January 15 to February 15, Echio Academy will open up applications for those who would like to hear their demos from a group of their favourite artists, including Ayesha, Boys Noize, DJ Tennis, Gui Boratto, Polygonia, Rrose, Tony y Not and more.

Once the demos have been vetted, the artists will then select a few to put together a free compilation that will be featured on Bandcamp.

This past year, the team from Echio have been adding more artists to their roster and curating online workshops through their platform. Many of these artists have been featured on the portal with videos about creative processes, workshops, breaking down tracks and discussions.

While most of this is charged by using tokens, the discussion videos are free of charge.

Just last September, Machina hosted a techno workshop on the platform and talked about her new live techno set that only used the Analog RYTM from Elektron.
