Eastern Margins celebrate East and Southeast Asian culture in first-ever festival
Margins United features a cutting-edge line-up of music, art, food, and more, with performances by Onra, LVRA, DJ Love
Eastern Margins is set to debut Margins United; a landmark day-to-night festival at London’s EartH Hackney on September 28, 2024.
This pioneering event will be the first of its kind in the UK and Europe, spotlighting East and Southeast Asian culture through a vibrant mix of music, art, food, and more.
The festival’s line-up is stacked with cutting-edge talent and is a testament to the diverse and innovative sounds within the Eastern Margins community.
yeule, returning for a special DJ set after their debut performance at an Eastern Margins event in Shoreditch, will bring their signature gothic glitch style, while Soo Joo will make her UK debut, bringing forth her dark and dreamy pop sound.
DJ Love, known for pioneering the Budots genre, will perform outside the Philippines for the first time, delivering a unique experience to those attending.
Also on the line-up is Onra, known for his knack in fusing traditional Eastern sounds with hip-hop and jazz, plus gyrofield who will bring high-energy drum'n'bass to the stage.

Margins United will offer more than just music; it features a variety of activities including supper clubs, visual art installations, workshops, and a night market. Highlights include a multimedia show by MEYY, an exclusive project debut from LVRA and Soda Plains, and an ensemble performance by Jianbo & Friends.
The festival will also offer a design workshop by Baesianz, an installation by Lawrence Lek, and experimental food experiences from Ginn Khao and Eat Drink Hui.

Founded by David Zhou in 2018, Eastern Margins has been pivotal in creating a community for East and Southeast Asian creatives in the UK. Margins United aims to further this mission, bringing together all facets of Asian culture under one roof for a groundbreaking celebration.
