lau.ra infuses breaks & bass house into Congo Natty’s ‘Postcode Dance’
Listen to the track out now via London’s NewState Music
Last year, jungle pioneer Mikail Tafari aka Congo Natty released his most extensive body of work yet; the 31-track 'Ancestorz (Roots of Jungle)' album. The vinyl version of the release comprises nine key tracks including ‘Postcode Dance’, which UK-based producer lau.ra has now remixed into her own.
Laura Bettinson aka FEMME aka lau.ra is the first woman to win the Music Producer’s Guild Award for ‘Self Producing Artist’ in 2022. She also recently debuted her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in early March.
lau.ra’s rework employs the track's original vocals wrapped in dreamy bass-heavy synths with a heavy dose of breakbeat. With weighty drums that echo throughout the almost four-minute production, it’s bound to get bodies gyrating on the dancefloor once that first beat drops.
