CMF debuts portable speakers that come with removable parts

CMF has just released its first-ever speaker line-up: two portable speakers, the Speaker S and the Speaker M.

Both use an upright shape modelled on a milk carton and come in white, dark grey, orange and turquoise.

The S is the compact one; a single speaker driver and two bass-boosting panels inside give it a fuller low end than its size suggests.

The M adds separate parts for bass and vocals, so kick drums and high-end details sit more clearly apart. It’s also louder, rated at 35 watts against the S’s 10.

Both speakers share several features. Ultra Bass adds extra low end with one press, and pairing two matching speakers sends the left channel to one and the right to the other.

When more speakers are in the room, Party Mode connects them, including other brands, so they all play the same track at once. For playing from a laptop, a USB-C cable provides full-quality audio with very little delay.

The S and M are both rated to survive 30 minutes under 1.5 metres of water, and the battery runs up to 18 hours at half volume.

In addition, you can also detach the panels and knobs; CMF has published STL files so users can print their own.
