Chingyi & Teng to headline Y2K x Rezonate China tour from November 15-23
The 6-stop tour aims to deepen cultural exchange through genre-blending performances, connecting Hong Kong & mainland audiences
Hong Kong-based artists Chingyi and Teng are set to embark on a China tour from November 15 to 23, 2024, as part of a collaboration between electronic collectives Y2K and Rezonate.
The pair will bring their distinct musical styles to underground clubs across China, bridging Hong Kong and mainland audiences.
Chingyi, affiliated with Y2K, creates atmospheric soundscapes that fuse ambient, deep techno, and downtempo. Her music takes listeners on an introspective journey, connecting inner emotions with ethereal, bass-driven beats.
Having performed at festivals like Omni, Pitch, and Dimension 5, Chingyi’s sets resonate with emotional depth, using music as a transformative tool for self-awareness and connection. She’s also made her mark in Hong Kong’s underground scene, performing at Mihn Club and co-hosting dance meditation events with collectives Mystic Disco and ReTribe.
Teng, a resident DJ and the visual artist behind Rezonate’s event photography, brings decades of experience from across Australia and Singapore to Hong Kong’s underground music scene.
With a vast musical repertoire spanning breakbeat, electro, and trance, Teng’s sets are deeply rooted in rhythm and audience connection. He has played major festivals and clubs like Clockenflap and Shi Fu Miz and continues to shape the vibe at Hong Kong’s Mihn Club, Acadana, and Soho House.
Both Chingyi and Teng have also performed at Hong Kong's boutique electronic music festival, Midori, organised by Y2K and Omni Agency.
